The sports leader currently serves as the President of the Budapest Orienteering Federation and previously headed the organizing committee for the successful World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships held in Hungary.

When we organized the World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships in 2012 and the European Championships in 2018, we earned the recognition of both the participants and the international federation. Naturally, the goal is the same here. I joined the organizing team because I felt a level of trust from both Veszprémi Honvéd and the Hungarian Orienteering Federation that serves as a guarantee for the productive work ahead of us. I believe my experience in delegating tasks and resolving unexpected situations will be the primary ways I can contribute to our joint efforts. I see that I have become part of an enthusiastic team committed to orienteering, all of whom are working week after week for the success of the World Championships” added Mets, who has been a member of the orienteering family for over 50 years and once debuted in the national team as a youth athlete.
