In 2023, the Council of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF) decided to award the hosting rights for the 2027 World Orienteering Championships (WOC 2027) to Hungary, with Veszprém as the host city.

The Hungarian Orienteering Federation has appointed Veszprémi Honvéd Sportegyesület to manage the organizational tasks.

The Hungária Cup 2027 is an integral part of this large-scale project: as the official spectator event of the World Championships, it is organized by the same dedicated team that welcomes the world’s elite athletes.

The backbone of the organizing committee is formed by the specialists of Veszprémi Honvéd Sportegyesület. For us, Veszprém and the Bakony Mountains are home: we know every detail of the terrain, from the most beautiful forests to the most technical valleys.
