The Honvéd Cup will take place in Alsóörs on 3–4 October, marking Hungary’s first Gold World Ranking Event. The two-day competition will also serve as one of the preparation races for the 2027 World Orienteering Championships and will be connected to the second official WOC 2027 training camp.

Only six weeks to go until Hungary’s first Gold WRE

The Honvéd Cup will offer much more than just World Ranking points. A completely new map is being prepared for the event, and the varied terrain will feature a constant mix of fast and technically demanding sections, providing a serious challenge for all competitors.
A strong international field is expected in the elite classes, as the Gold WRE status and the opportunity to race in Hungary less than a year before WOC 2027 make the event particularly attractive for national team athletes.
Those unable to attend in person will not miss the action either: the elite races will be covered by live streaming and GPS tracking, allowing spectators to follow the competition as it unfolds.
A special arena experience will also await competitors and spectators at the finish. The unique setting of AMFI, together with the arena programme and the atmosphere of the event, will make the weekend even more memorable. The venue is also home to Hungary’s largest planetarium, which will be open to visitors during the event.
Two days. Two challenges. One special weekend in Alsóörs.
